Old Silo Updates

On May 29th a formal agreement was made.  The Golf Course has agreed to mow and maintain certain areas.  Please see the Old Silo Memorandum of Understanding below.  DO NOT TRESPASS!  We as property owners in Silver Creek need to stay off the property of Old Silo.  Part of the settlement agreement is that property owners at Silver Creek are to not make any entrance or exit to any location on the Old Silo Golf Course.

Fishin' Days

The Department of Fish and Wildlife have assessed the health of our lakes. They have determined we have an over population of fish which is not healthy for the fish. As the weather improves, we plan to have supervised “Fishing Days” for residents with fishing licenses. The lakes are full of bass and blue gill just waiting for the right bait.

Fountains

A new fountain has been installed for the pond at the end of Silver Lake Drive which will hopefully aerate the water sufficiently to help keep the overgrowth of moss in check.  This fountain along with the upcoming removal of brush should make the area much easier to look at.

Critters

Muskrats have created a safety hazard for our grounds maintenance company with their tunneling in areas around the lakes. Unstable ground is a safety hazard particularly for mowing. The SCA Board consulted with the Department of Fish and Wildlife, and they recommended that we work with a licensed trapper to rid the area of muskrats. Be aware that there may be some activity taking place at the lakes.
